What if I cannot attend a session?

If you know that you will be unable to attend a tutoring session, please be sure to release that appointment as soon as possible in the Tutor Portal. This way, another tutor can grab the appointment to substitute. Releasing this appointment in advance will best ensure that your students have another tutor present. If you do not notify us in advance, BookNook's substitute scheduling process will kick in after three minutes of your scheduled session start time. However, we strongly encourage tutors to release their appointments in advance, as the students waiting on a tutor can bring confusion and a loss of instructional time.
