How to access and use your Tutor Portal account
As of December 16th, all tutors begin their journey with BookNook through our Tutor Portal, starting with the application process! This allows for a more seamless experience from application, to onboarding, and then tutoring.
What is the Tutor Portal?
Consider the Tutor Portal your home base! This is where you will sign-up for appointments, create your profile, launch your lessons, and connect to our Tutor Community!
Once you complete onboarding and receive at least one background check clearance, you'll be able to sign up for tutoring appointments through your Tutor Portal. Keep in mind, you can only access opportunities that you have relevant clearance for. You can keep an eye on the Upcoming Opportunities schedule in the Tutor Community to know when appointments are released into the system, and check our substitute-chat to pick up additional appointments!
How do I access the Tutor Portal?
If you applied after December 16th:
You have already activated your Tutor Portal account within the application process! To accept your offer & start the onboarding process, you'll log into the portal and click 'Accept Offer & Start Onboarding' button.
This will take you to your Tutor Portal dashboard, where you'll see onboarding task reminders.
If you applied before December 16th:
We have issued email invitations to the Tutor Portal for all tutors who had previously passed our interview process in the prior applicant tracking system. These were sent on Tuesday, December 13th to the email address you originally applied with.
- Subject of the invitation email: "BookNook Tutor Portal Login Instructions"
- Sender: firstname.lastname@example.org
- The email contains your username and temporary password. Log in to change your password and activate the account.
