Contact Tech Support

Use BookNook’s support website to contact BookNook technical support for any issues related to BookNook technology (bugs, tech glitches, etc.). You have the option of  starting an online chat or submitting a ticket (if your question can wait).

Support Coverage: 8am – 8pm Eastern Standard Time

For Immediate Assistance: Click "Help" in the bottom right of the screen. When the chat bubble comes up, the chatbot "Astro" will begin to start typing. You can type things like "tech glitch," "tech problem," or "agent." The chatbot will first try to find an answer. After results are not found, the chatbot will then collect information from you to connect you to a live agent. You will be prompted to enter your email, first name, and last name. You will then have the option to select that you are a BookNook Tutor. The chatbot will then ask what the issue is. After getting information about the issue, the chatbot will ask what state and school district you are in. You can write "unknown," for these prompts. A case will then be opened for you with the tech support team. Assuming it is between the support hours and there is an agent available, you will see the prompt asking if you'd like to be connected to a live agent to assist you further. If you select "yes," you'll be connected to a live technical support agent. If you select "no," then you will be contacted via the contact information you provided. 

For Questions That Can Wait (such as reporting a non-urgent bug or issue with any of the BookNook Tech (Platform/Portal): Choose the orange "submit a request" button at the bottom of the page and a tech support agent will get back to you via email. 

Important Notes:
-Detail: Provide as much detail as possible at the technical issue, glitch, or bug. If you can list the class time, date, information, etc., the more information that you can provide to the tech team the better.
