Complete BookNook’s Tutor Certification course to learn about our tutoring platform, how to sign up for appointments, and more.

Accessing the Certification Course

Step 1: Click on “Complete Certification” on the BookNook Certification card from your dashboard in your Tutor Portal. If you passed our interview process prior to the launch of the current system, you will not see the dashboard card, but will be able to access the same course using the 'Community' tab in the left-side menu. (see second image)

Step 2: Read and accept the BookNook Community Terms of Service.

Step 3: Click the “Take me to Certification” button.

Step 4: Select the BookNook Tutor Certification course.

Step 5: Start the course and complete all modules. Your progress will be saved if you can't complete it in one sitting!

Advancing the Modules in the Certification Course

In order to be prepared to tutor with BookNook, the BookNook Certification modules should be completed in chronological order.  At the end of the BookNook Certification, you'll find a survey to complete. The system will capture that you have completed your course, as soon as your training shows 100%. Once you complete the course, you will immediately gain access to our Tutor Community! Receive Your Payment for Completing BookNook Certification 

BookNook will pay Tutors at the rate of $18/hour for a total of $45. This total is calculated based on an expected 2 1/2 total hours to complete BookNook’s Certification. Pay will be issued in the pay period after you 1) complete BookNook’s Certification and 2) once you have completed the required documents in WorkMarket (see section on Providing Payroll Information). BookNook’s pay dates are on the 7th and 22nd of each month.
